Mumbai Metro has officially denied imposing any fine on actor Varun Dhawan amid recent reports suggesting otherwise. Varun Dhawan’s team issued a statement clarifying that no penalty or fine has been levied on the actor by Mumbai Metro authorities.
The statement came after misinformation circulated on social media and some media outlets claiming that Varun Dhawan violated Mumbai Metro regulations during a photo shoot or related activity at a metro station, resulting in a fine. However, these claims were based on a misunderstanding.
Varun Dhawan’s team said, “We want to clarify the current reports involving Varun Dhawan and Mumbai Metro. No fine or penalty has been imposed on Varun. The earlier post by the officials, which caused confusion, has been removed. We appreciate their cooperation in resolving this misunderstanding.”
The statement further added, “Varun Dhawan respects the city’s rules and the efforts of the Metro department. We are happy to confirm that the matter is now closed. We thank the media for sharing the correct update.”
According to the team, the entire incident was a result of a misunderstanding, which Mumbai Metro officials addressed by deleting the previous post. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is currently busy promoting his recent film ‘Border 2’, which has received positive reviews for his performance.
