Mumbai, March 19: Actor, writer, and director Adavi Shesh is buzzing with excitement about his upcoming film, ‘Dacoit.’ He describes his character as the most vibrant and remarkable role he has portrayed on screen to date.
During a promotional interview, Adavi shared, “This is definitely my most lively character. I wouldn’t say it’s entirely character-driven like ‘Arjun Reddy,’ but compared to my previous films, it leans much more towards character depth. My films usually have twists that I enjoy, but this time, I have fallen in love with the film’s emotional core.”
‘Dacoit’ marks a significant shift for Adavi Shesh. Unlike his previous spy thrillers, this film takes a more commercial and emotional approach.
He explained, “The big question in this film isn’t who committed the murder or who is guilty. The real story revolves around emotions, depicting the journey of two old lovers reuniting after 13 years. We’ve set it in a violent era, where they are trapped amidst guns, bullets, fire, rain, heat, and desert. It’s not just about two people reuniting; it’s about their emotional journey in a perilous environment.”
In ‘Dacoit: A Love Story,’ Adavi Shesh stars alongside Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Shenil Dev and is produced in both Telugu and Hindi.
The plot centers on two former lovers who reconnect and embark on a series of heists together. The film robustly incorporates elements of crime, action, and romance. Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, Adavi’s upcoming film promises an action-packed romantic thriller experience where love and crime intertwine. ‘Dacoit’ is set to hit theaters on April 10.
