Mumbai, March 19: Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has taken social media by storm following its release.
The film reveals several shocking elements that have left viewers questioning its implications. Social media users are particularly intrigued by a character resembling the infamous politician Atique Ahmed, leading many to reflect on the government’s demonetization decision.
Since its release on Thursday, numerous scenes from the film have gone viral, with a significant focus on the character inspired by Atique Ahmed. Although the film does not explicitly mention Atique Ahmed, fans are drawing parallels between the character, Atif Ahmed, and the real-life figure. Both the character’s appearance and storyline closely mirror Ahmed’s life.
Some social media users argue that the demonetization decision was justified, citing Atique Ahmed’s alleged connections to Pakistan. Others are questioning the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, highlighting the large-scale supply of weapons and counterfeit currency depicted in the film. A segment of viewers has labeled the film as propaganda.
Notably, viral clips show Atif Ahmed’s character meeting a fate reminiscent of Atique Ahmed’s own demise. In one clip, Atif mentions needing to go for a medical examination and expresses frustration over being denied permission to attend his son’s funeral, only to be met with a barrage of gunfire.
The film also explores the complex relationship between Atif Ahmed and Major Iqbal, played by Arjun Rampal, who is involved in the supply of counterfeit currency and weapons. Atif discusses the demonetization announcement with Major Iqbal, further intertwining their fates.
