Uttar Pradeshs Law and Order: Prakash Pal Responds to Akhilesh Yadavs Claims
Prakash Pal defends UPs law and order, countering Akhilesh Yadavs claims and addressing comments by Rahul Gandhi and ST Hasan.

Lucknow, October 31 (Daily Kiran) : In a recent response to claims made by Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav regarding law and order in Uttar Pradesh, Rajya Sabha MP Prakash Pal expressed strong disagreement. Yadav had suggested that Union Home Minister Amit Shah should review the state’s law enforcement situation. Pal countered this by noting that Shah had already assessed the situation back in 2014, which led to significant changes in the state.
Pal highlighted that during Shah’s visit in 2014, he witnessed the chaotic law and order conditions that plagued Uttar Pradesh. He recalled that at that time, lawlessness and gangsterism were rampant, making it difficult for women and young people to feel safe. He emphasized that the atmosphere had improved since then, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) winning 73 out of 80 seats in the state during the 2014 general elections, largely due to the electoral agenda shaped by Shah.
According to Pal, the current environment in Uttar Pradesh is one of law and order, not mafia rule. He praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for taking a hard stance against criminals and restoring safety in the state.
Pal also addressed comments made by former Samajwadi Party MP ST Hasan regarding the Ram Janmabhoomi site. He insisted that anyone discussing matters related to Sanatan Dharma should be well-informed about the facts and traditions involved. He challenged Yadav to clarify the birthplaces of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, asserting that these religious beliefs are well-known among Indians. He pointed out that the police station in Ayodhya, which is significant to the Ram Janmabhoomi issue, was established during Congress rule, not by the BJP.
Furthermore, Pal criticized Rahul Gandhi for a statement suggesting that traders should approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding delays in festival preparations. He likened Gandhi’s remarks to those of terrorists from Pahalgam, questioning the similarities in their language. Pal raised concerns about why such parallels exist between the comments of Gandhi and those of militants.
Tensions continue to rise as political figures navigate the sensitive issues surrounding Uttar Pradesh’s governance and law enforcement.
