Uttar Pradesh Police Intensifies Crackdown on Criminals: Encounters in Bulandshahr and Ballia

Mumbai, June 6: The Uttar Pradesh police continue their aggressive campaign against crime. Last night, encounters occurred in two districts, Bulandshahr and Ballia, resulting in the arrest of two criminals. One of the suspects, Faizan Qureshi, is linked to the murder case of Vipin in Sikandarabad. Police teams are currently engaged in further investigations.

Bulandshahr police officials reported that on June 2, Vipin’s body was discovered in a drain outside an abandoned factory on Chola Road. According to police, Faizan Qureshi and his accomplice, Zaid Saifi, executed this crime. After murdering Vipin, they stuffed his body into a sack and disposed of it in the drain.

Authorities stated that the duo also stole Vipin’s e-rickshaw during the incident. Vipin was killed while the robbery was taking place. Following the crime, Faizan attempted to dispose of the e-rickshaw when police surrounded him late Friday night. During the encounter, Faizan was injured by police gunfire, while his accomplice managed to escape.

The police recovered the e-rickshaw from Faizan, along with a firearm and live cartridges. During interrogation, Faizan confessed to his crime, as confirmed by CO Mishra.

In a separate incident, police in Ballia apprehended a wanted criminal with a bounty of 25,000 rupees. The suspect sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg during an encounter and is currently receiving treatment at the district hospital.

ASP Sanjay Verma reported that late Friday night, police engaged in a shootout with the wanted criminal, Dheeraj Singh, in the Dokati police station area. Acting on a tip-off, the police team cordoned off the area near Dokati Dala. The criminal attempted to flee and fired at the police, who returned fire, injuring him. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the hospital for treatment. Weapons were also recovered from him, and he has previous cases registered against him. The investigation team is currently pursuing further action.
