UPSC Topper Anuj Agnihotri from Jodhpur Achieves All India Rank One

New Delhi, March 6: Anuj Agnihotri has secured the top position in the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, achieving All India Rank One. He chose medical science as his optional subject, which played a crucial role in his success. Anuj is a graduate of AIIMS, Jodhpur, holding an MBBS degree.

Rajeshwari Suve M, who secured the second position, is an engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, Chennai.

Akansh Dhul, a graduate from Delhi University with a Bachelor of Commerce, claimed the third rank in this prestigious and challenging examination. He opted for commerce and accounting as his optional subject.

The final results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 were announced on Friday. Raghav Jhunjhunwala, an economics student also from Delhi University, achieved the fourth rank by selecting economics as his optional subject.

Ishan Bhatnagar, who secured the fifth rank, is another Delhi University alumnus. He completed his BA LLB (Honors) from National Law University and chose sociology as his optional subject.

Notably, among the top 25 candidates, there are 11 women and 14 men. Their educational backgrounds span prestigious institutions like IIT, NLU, AIIMS, DTU, Anna University, Delhi University, and Mumbai University, covering fields such as engineering, humanities, science, commerce, law, medical science, and communication.

The top 25 successful candidates selected optional subjects including chemistry, anthropology, medical science, commerce and accounting, economics, electrical engineering, history, mathematics, philosophy, political science, international relations, public administration, and sociology for their main written examination.

Among the recommended candidates, 42 individuals with disabilities were included, comprising 10 with orthopedic disabilities, 14 visually impaired, 9 hearing impaired, and 9 with multiple disabilities. The preliminary examination for the 2025 Civil Services was conducted on May 25, 2025, with a total of 937,876 candidates applying, of which 576,793 appeared for the exam.

In the main written examination held in August 2025, there were 14,161 qualified candidates, out of which 2,736 reached the interview stage. The commission has recommended a total of 958 candidates for appointment in various services this year, including 659 men and 299 women. Among the final successful candidates, one woman and four men are in the top five.
