UNC Football Secures Two Key Offensive Transfers

The 2026 transfer portal has seen a record surge with over 3,000 players entering so far. North Carolina is leveraging this opportunity to strengthen its roster following a challenging first season in Chapel Hill.

On Sunday, the Tar Heels first secured a commitment from quarterback Billy Edwards. Later the same day, they added two more offensive players to their lineup.

North Carolina welcomed Charleston Southern offensive lineman Andrew Threatt, marking their second commitment during this transfer cycle and providing additional support to the offensive line.

Shortly after, the team announced the commitment of wide receiver Jonathan Bibbs from UL-Monroe. With some departures among their wide receivers, adding depth in this position is vital for the Tar Heels’ strategy.

Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 175 pounds, Bibbs recorded 26 receptions for 383 yards and three touchdowns in his freshman year, highlighting his promising potential.
