New Delhi, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the final answer key for the UGC-NET June 2026 examinations in English, Commerce, and Sociology. These subjects underwent re-examinations held on September 9 and 10 across various centers in the country. Candidates can access their respective final answer keys on the official NTA website.
In a recent statement, the NTA confirmed the release of the final answer key for these subjects, which is now available online. The re-examinations for English and Commerce took place on September 9. The English paper was conducted in the morning session from 9 AM to 12 PM, while the Commerce paper was held in the afternoon from 3 PM to 6 PM. Sociology exams were scheduled for September 10, also in the morning session from 9 AM to 12 PM.
The NTA had received complaints regarding several errors in the question papers for English, Commerce, and Sociology. In response, a committee was formed to investigate these issues. Following the committee’s recommendations, the NTA decided to conduct re-examinations for these three subjects to ensure a fair and error-free assessment.
Candidates who participated in the re-examinations were not charged any additional fees. The NTA also clarified that this would not affect the number of available seats for the program. The UGC-NET June 2026 exam was conducted for a total of 87 subjects. While the re-examinations were necessary for English, Commerce, and Sociology, the processes for the remaining 84 subjects continued as scheduled.
The UGC-NET exam aims to determine eligibility for the position of Assistant Professor in universities and higher educational institutions, as well as for admission into PhD programs and Junior Research Fellowships. With the final answer keys now available, candidates can verify their results on the official website.
