Pushya Nakshatra

Bhopal, October 14 (Daily Kiran): The auspicious Pushya Nakshatra has begun today, bringing a wave of excitement across markets in Madhya Pradesh. The two-day favorable period — from Tuesday, October 14 at 11:10 a.m. to Wednesday, October 15 at 12:30 p.m. — is expected to drive heavy festive shopping activity, with traders offering special discounts and deals.

Pushya Nakshatra

Astrologers have called this year’s Pushya Nakshatra particularly powerful, as it coincides with Siddhi Yoga on Tuesday and Sadhya Yoga on Wednesday — both considered highly auspicious for wealth, prosperity, and success.

Pushya Nakshatra Spiritual and Economic Significance

According to astrologers, Pushya Nakshatra is not only astrologically significant but also holds economic and spiritual importance. Donations, religious rituals, and purchasing household goods during this period are believed to bring lasting happiness and prosperity.
Astrologer Pandit Harihar Pandya said, “Pushya Nakshatra is ruled by Saturn (Shani) and presided over by Jupiter (Brihaspati). This combination symbolizes nourishment, stability, and prosperity. Any purchase or investment made during this period ensures long-term benefits.”

Markets Witness Festive Buzz

Markets across Madhya Pradesh — including Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior — are abuzz with festive energy. Traders have fully decorated their shops and expect transactions worth over ₹1,000 crore during the two days.
Despite high gold and silver prices, jewellers expect strong demand. Gold prices have reached ₹1,29,000 per tola, while silver stands at around ₹1,80,000 per kg. Jewellers report that customers are now preferring lightweight yet elegant designs to balance style with affordability.

Auspicious Time for Shopping

The most auspicious time to shop on Tuesday (Bhom Pushya) will be from 11:54 a.m. till night, with the Abhijit Muhurat between 11:44 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and the Amrit Kaal from 6:09 p.m. to 7:37 p.m. However, people are advised to avoid purchases during Rahu Kaal (2:59 p.m. to 4:25 p.m.).

What to Buy on Pushya Nakshatra

Astrologers recommend buying at least one item symbolizing stability and prosperity.

  • For women: Gold or silver ornaments, coins, or household silverware.

  • For men: Business-related items such as account books, pens, or office essentials.

  • For students: Books, notebooks, and stationery for academic success.

Guru (Jupiter)-related items: Gold, financial documents, religious objects, insurance policies, bank deposits, gemstones, livestock, fertilizers, and seeds.
Shani (Saturn)-related items: Vehicles, electronics, machinery, industrial tools, home furniture, utensils, and clothing.

Astrologer Pandit Bharat Sharma said, “Purchases and investments made during Pushya Nakshatra yield permanent gains. It is a time to initiate new business ventures, buy vehicles, or move into a new home.”
