Jaipur, October 16 (Daily Kiran): Police have arrested two prime accused in the sensational attack on Kota-based liquor trader Sandeep Solanki, which took place on October 2. The arrested men, identified as Manish Kumar Narwal (22) and Abdul Tausib alias Tosiba (19), both residents of Kaithoonipol, had a reward of ₹25,000 each on their heads.

According to Kota City Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam, four assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on Solanki around 6:30 am on October 2, hitting him in the waist and legs. The attackers then assaulted him with kicks and punches before stabbing him, causing serious injuries to his thigh. Special police teams had been searching for the culprits since the incident.
Old Rivalry Behind the Attack
Police investigations revealed that the attack stemmed from an old gang rivalry. The accused had a long-standing dispute with Solanki’s nephew, Tushar. In 2024, Tushar was attacked with a knife, after which Solanki allegedly retaliated by attacking the houses of the accused’s associates and opening fire.
The rivalry escalated when, on August 6, Manish Narwal, Abdul Tausib, and their associates attacked Solanki’s house with swords, vandalized vehicles parked outside, and looted cash from his warehouse. Ongoing enmity led the accused to plan Solanki’s murder, resulting in the October 2 attack.
During the investigation, police found that a minor living near Solanki’s house was updating the attackers via Instagram calls about the trader’s movements.
Accused Caught After Chase
Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Station House Officer Pushpendra Bansiwal intercepted the accused on Rawatbhata Road on the night of October 15. On seeing the police, the duo sped towards a nearby forest but lost control of their motorcycle on a rough track. Both sustained injuries—Narwal suffered a leg fracture while Tausib sustained severe leg wounds. They were admitted to MBS Hospital and later taken into custody.
Police recovered empty and live cartridges along with a broken knife from the spot. Two minors involved in the case had already been detained earlier. Authorities are now interrogating the arrested accused to trace the weapons and motorcycle used in the crime.
