Husband Confesses to Murdering Wife in Pratapgarh After Alcohol-Fueled Argument

Pratapgarh, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic incident has unfolded in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman named Manju Yadav was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her home in the village of Patahtiya Kala. Her husband, Ajay Yadav, initially reported her death to the police.
When law enforcement arrived to investigate, they uncovered a shocking truth: Ajay was the one who had killed his wife. Reports indicate that a heated argument erupted between the couple late Friday night after they had been drinking. The couple frequently quarreled over Ajay’s alcohol addiction.
On that fateful night, their dispute escalated, leading Ajay to commit a horrific act. He attacked Manju with a sharp weapon, resulting in her immediate death. The news of the murder sent shockwaves through the village, drawing a large crowd of local residents to the scene.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Alok Kumar provided details, stating, “We received information at 4 AM on Saturday that an unknown person had murdered Ajay Yadav’s wife, Manju. Our team promptly examined the site. Initial inquiries revealed that Ajay, who is an alcoholic, had argued with his wife the night before, leading to the tragic event. The accused has been taken into custody and has confessed to his involvement in the crime. Further investigation is ongoing.”
Authorities have detained Ajay, who has admitted to the murder, and police are proceeding with the necessary legal actions.
