Uttar Pradesh Minister Defends Indias Unique Culture Amid Opposition Protests

Uttar Pradeshs Water Power Minister asserts Indias distinct culture and security, rejecting comparisons to Bangladesh and Pakistan amid opposition protests.

Lucknow, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh‘s Water Power Minister, Swatantra Dev Singh, responded sharply to recent opposition protests, asserting that India cannot become like Bangladesh or Pakistan. He emphasized the nation’s unique culture, stating, “We walk with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas.'”

Singh highlighted the plight of Hindus in neighboring countries, noting that they cannot freely practice their religion. He remarked on the declining Hindu population in those nations, claiming it has dwindled to near zero.

Reiterating his stance, Singh declared India would not face the same fate as Bangladesh or Pakistan, which he described as struggling with hunger and poverty. He praised the vigilance of India’s military, police, and administration in ensuring both external and internal security.

The minister further lauded the dedication of the armed forces and police to the nation, contrasting it with past incidents during Congress’s governance when protesters threw stones at soldiers. He pointed out the current visibility of the national flag in Srinagar and the participation of all communities in patriotic events, claiming that the threat of Naxalism has been significantly reduced.

Singh asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to the welfare of the public, rejecting accusations of corruption associated with the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress. He emphasized that the BJP is not a dynastic party but one built on organization and grassroots activism, where even a booth president can rise to national leadership.

Criticizing the organizational politics of Congress and SP, Singh argued that these parties engage in nepotism, favoring influential individuals who exploit the state. He lamented the shift in political dynamics, attributing it to the Gandhi family’s mismanagement of democracy.

In summary, Singh’s remarks reflect a strong defense of India’s identity and governance, positioning the BJP as a party of the people rather than one driven by family lineage.
