New Delhi, April 9: U.S. President Donald Trump has made significant remarks regarding the ongoing U.S.-Iran negotiations. He stated that numerous individuals are attempting to influence the talks with false claims and irrelevant proposals, asserting that the U.S. is only engaging seriously with a legitimate group.
Trump posted on the social media platform ‘Truth Social’, stating, “Many people are sending agreements, lists, and letters that have nothing to do with the U.S.-Iran discussions. In many cases, they are outright frauds, con artists, and worse. Their deception will soon be revealed after our federal investigation concludes.”
He emphasized, “There are only a few key points from one group that the United States acknowledges, and we will discuss them behind closed doors during negotiations. These are the same points on which we agreed for a ceasefire. This is something reasonable and easily resolvable.”
Trump further compared the situation to a recent report by ‘Fake News CNN’, which highlighted a “source” lacking authority or power, yet claimed to possess significant authority in a letter.
Notably, after 40 days of ongoing conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, conditions have shifted. Following a two-week ceasefire announcement, Trump indicated a willingness to collaborate with Iran.
With the ceasefire in place, Trump signaled a major step towards peace and cooperation, calling it a “big day for the world.” He noted that Iran is now weary of conflict and wishes to move towards reconstruction.
Trump stated, “We are discussing relief from tariffs and sanctions with Iran and will continue to do so. Many points have already been agreed upon out of 15. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Meanwhile, the U.S. Vice President described the ceasefire as “fragile” during an event, indicating that the agreement is still in its early stages and its stability remains uncertain.
This ceasefire follows an ultimatum issued by the U.S. to Iran, which included conditions for reopening major maritime routes and halting activities that could disrupt global trade. Vance reported that negotiators clarified, under Trump’s direction, that a ceasefire would be implemented in exchange for opening maritime routes.
