
Howrah, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Trisha Manna returned to Howrah with a silver medal from the fourth UIYSF International Yoga Games 2026. The young athlete expressed her happiness with her performance and set her sights on reaching future international tournaments.
Held in Bangkok, the tournament showcased Trisha’s impressive skills, culminating in a second-place finish. Although she missed out on the gold, her enthusiasm was evident. “I am very happy with my performance. I did well in the tournament and achieved second place. I returned to India on Wednesday and feel proud to have won this medal,” she shared in an interview.
Trisha credited her success to her coach and supportive parents. She emphasized the encouragement she received from both her family and her coach, Amar, who played a significant role in her achievement. At just 15 years old and currently in the 10th grade, Trisha aspires to bring more medals to her country in future international competitions.
The UIYSF International Yoga Games, organized by the Universal Yoga Sports Federation (UYFS), is a prestigious event featuring top yoga athletes, coaches, judges, and experts from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The championship aims to promote yoga as a competitive sport while preserving its traditional identity, discipline, and spiritual values.
The event took place at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), a renowned international teaching and research institution that served as the official venue partner. This championship provides a global platform for yoga athletes to showcase their skills and technical mastery, fostering global unity through the principle of “unity in diversity,” while promoting fair play and the standards of yoga competitions.
