Tributes Pour In for Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on His Death Anniversary

New Delhi, April 26: The nation is paying homage to the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan on his death anniversary. His extraordinary contributions have significantly advanced the field of mathematics. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with several other state leaders, has expressed their tributes to Ramanujan.

On social media platform ‘X’, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “On the death anniversary of the world-renowned mathematician and a genius, Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan, I pay my humble respects. Your invaluable contributions to the nation will continue to illuminate the path of knowledge and inspire future generations towards innovation and research.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also shared his thoughts, stating, “I pay my humble tribute to the great mathematician and ‘wizard of numbers,’ Srinivasa Ramanujan, who has brought glory to the country on the global stage. His exceptional talent and remarkable mathematical discoveries continue to guide the fields of science and mathematics. His life inspires our youth to pursue curiosity, research, and innovation.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also honored Ramanujan, noting, “Ramanujan, who contributed over 3,500 new formulas and theories in mathematics, will always inspire talented students towards research.”

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised Ramanujan, stating that his extraordinary talent and unparalleled contributions have brought pride to India worldwide. He added, “His life is an inspiring example of dedication, curiosity, and extraordinary achievements that continues to motivate the new generation.”

Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw also paid tribute, saying, “He did not just do mathematics; he gave numbers a new language—a language that the world is still trying to understand. Ramanujan’s life symbolizes that true talent does not depend on resources. Today, his thoughts inspire us to have the courage to achieve the extraordinary beyond limitations.”

Delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa also expressed his tribute on ‘X’, stating, “With your remarkable talent and research, you have given a new direction to the world of mathematics. Despite limited resources, your knowledge and dedication proved that true commitment is greater than any obstacle.”
