Transforming Basic Education: PM Shri Composite School in Deoria Sets a New Standard

Deoria, August 6: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the landscape of basic education in Uttar Pradesh has undergone a remarkable transformation. Once characterized by a lack of essential facilities, the PM Shri Composite School located in Sahwa, Deoria, has now emerged as a model school in the state. This institution focuses not only on academics but also on the cultural, scientific, and physical development of its students.

Recognizing quality education as the foundation for a bright future, the Yogi government has revamped the infrastructure of government schools over the past few years. Classrooms have been upgraded to smart classrooms, digital resources have been provided, and state-of-the-art educational facilities have been developed for students. The PM Shri Composite School in Sahwa stands as a testament to these efforts.

The students at this school express their satisfaction with the new facilities. Anamika Singh, a student, shares, “Earlier, our school lacked many facilities. Now, with smart classes and labs, learning has become much easier. The teachers also use innovative teaching methods.”

Another student, Jolly Singh, adds, “We have sports, cultural programs, and practical science classes here. We feel we are no less than students in private schools.”

The PM Shri School has become a trusted center for children from 22 surrounding villages. Parents are eager for their children to attend this school. Ranu Singh, a parent, states, “We used to consider private schools, but now we find all the facilities in this government school. The teachers are dedicated, and the children are progressing.”

Another parent, Umapati Singh, remarks, “The atmosphere of the school has changed. Cleanliness, education, and discipline have all improved. We are proud that our village school has become an example in the district.”

Education at the PM Shri Composite School extends beyond textbooks. Students have the opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences in the science lab, ICT lab, astronomy lab, and learning-by-doing lab. Principal Muhammad Gajnafar explains, “Our goal is for students to understand rather than memorize. In the astronomy lab, they learn about stars and planets, and in the ICT lab, they learn to operate computers and digital tools. This has boosted their confidence.”

The achievements of this school are also gaining recognition. So far, 16 students from this institution have been selected for the national-level Inspire Award, and 64 students have received scholarships in the NMMS examination.

District Basic Education Officer Dr. Ram Jiyawan Maurya states, “There are several PM Shri schools in Deoria that have become model institutions due to their advanced educational facilities. The Sahwa school is leading the way. Its results and students’ achievements serve as inspiration for other schools.”

Once, primary education in Uttar Pradesh was in dire straits, but thanks to CM Yogi’s vision, government schools have become the first choice for children and parents alike. These schools not only provide quality education but also ensure the health of children by offering nutritious meals through the mid-day meal scheme.
