Tragic Multi-Vehicle Collision in Dhule Claims Six Lives, Injures 26

Dhule, May 25: A devastating multi-vehicle accident on the Mumbai-Agra Highway has resulted in the deaths of six individuals, with 26 others sustaining injuries.

According to police officials, the incident occurred early Monday morning at Laling Ghat in Dhule. The collision began when a dumper truck collided with another truck. Following this, a speeding passenger bus from Madhya Pradesh lost control and crashed into the already damaged vehicles.

Authorities reported that the second collision was so severe that it claimed the life of a toll worker who was assisting in the rescue efforts.

The police confirmed that the tragic accident resulted in six fatalities, including the toll worker, while 26 others were injured.

Emergency services and police arrived promptly at the scene. All injured individuals were safely evacuated and rushed to the district hospital. The accident caused temporary traffic disruptions on the highway.

The police are currently investigating the incident, and further information is awaited.

In a separate incident, an SUV plunged into a deep gorge in Raigad district, Maharashtra, resulting in the deaths of eight people. Rescue teams have recovered two bodies and sent them for post-mortem, while the search for the remaining victims continues. Officials noted that the depth of the gorge is complicating rescue operations.
