Tragic Incident in Khurai: Woman and Children Consume Poison After Husbands Suicide

Khurai, June 14: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in the Sahodara Bai Rai Ward of Khurai, located in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. On Sunday, a woman ingested a toxic substance along with her two young children. The woman tragically passed away during treatment, while both children remain in critical condition.

The woman has been identified as Aarti Tiwari. Her children are Priyansh Tiwari, aged 10, and Divya Tiwari, aged 12. Following the deterioration of their health, all three were rushed to Khurai Civil Hospital. After initial treatment, doctors referred them to Sagar due to their serious conditions. Unfortunately, Aarti Tiwari succumbed to her injuries, while her children’s health continues to be a cause for concern.

Aarti’s husband, Satyajit Tiwari, was a priest at the Hanuman Temple located within the court premises. Just two days prior, he had taken his own life by consuming poison. The family was in deep shock following his death.

Reports indicate that at the time of the incident, other family members were away for the immersion of Satyajit’s ashes. During this time, Aarti consumed the poison with her children at home. The news of this tragic event sent shockwaves through the community.

Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Preliminary inquiries are underway, with authorities exploring all possible angles to determine the reasons behind this tragic occurrence. The police are currently focused on a thorough investigation of the entire matter.
