Noida, March 16: A tragic development has emerged from a fire that broke out at a meter manufacturing factory in Sector 4, Noida. The charred remains of employee Upendra Kumar, who had been missing since the incident, were discovered last night within the factory premises. The news has plunged his family into deep sorrow, and the local community is engulfed in grief and anger over the incident.
Upendra Kumar, originally from Kannauj district in Uttar Pradesh, was working the night shift on the fateful evening of the fire. Chaos erupted as the flames engulfed the factory, allowing several employees to escape, but Upendra was unaccounted for since then.
In the aftermath of the fire, police and administrative teams launched a search for Upendra. They conducted thorough searches of the debris and burned sections of the factory. Tragically, his body was found among the charred remains last night, in a severely burned condition.
Reports indicate that more than three dozen employees sustained injuries during the fire and were admitted to various hospitals. The blaze was so intense that it took the fire department nearly 48 hours to bring it under control, necessitating multiple fire engines on-site.
