Ramnathpuram, September 30 (Daily Kiran) : A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Ramnathpuram district of Tamil Nadu on September 30, where a 10-year-old girl and her 6-year-old brother lost their lives due to electrocution. The Abhiramam police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.
The children, identified as Nirayamaathi, a fifth-grade student, and her younger brother Balapravin, a first-grade student, were playing near a water purification site in their village, Achankulam, close to Kamuthi. Reports indicate that they came into contact with a metal rod, which was live with electricity, resulting in a fatal shock.
The bodies of the deceased siblings have been sent to the Kamuthi government hospital for post-mortem examinations. Following the incident, the police have registered a case and are looking into the reasons behind the electric shock. The loss has left their family devastated.
This incident follows another tragic event in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandla district, where four young men died due to electrocution at a Ganesh pandal on September 26. The victims were identified as Jain Bhavre (19), Ravi Jhariya (24), Krishna Kumar Bhavre (18), and Virendra Bhavre (24). One of the injured, identified as Priyanshu, was reported to be in critical condition and was transferred to a district hospital for further treatment.
