
Bhopal, July 11: A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Satna district in Madhya Pradesh, where two young siblings tragically drowned in a pond.
The accident occurred in Pipra village, located within the Uchehra police station and Parsamania outpost area, leaving the entire community in mourning. The children, aged 7 and 5, were bathing in a pond near their home when they drowned.
According to reports, Arun Singh Gond’s children, Shubham Gond and Akshita Gond, ventured into the pond for a swim. Unfortunately, they ventured into deeper waters and lost their lives.
When the siblings did not return home for an extended period, their family grew concerned. A search was initiated, and with the help of local villagers, both children were retrieved from the pond. Sadly, by that time, it was too late, and they had already passed away.
Upon receiving news of the incident, Santosh Dhurve, the in-charge of the Parsamania outpost, arrived at the scene with police personnel. The authorities conducted an investigation and sent the bodies for post-mortem at the Uchehra hospital. The tragic event has cast a shadow of grief over the entire Pipra village, with the bereaved family in deep sorrow.
In a related incident, another drowning case was reported on June 29 in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Two brothers drowned in a well while attempting to rescue each other. The younger brother fell into the well, prompting the elder brother to jump in after him, resulting in both losing their lives.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Sukhram Munda and his younger brother Vinod Munda. It was reported that Vinod had gone to fetch water from the well when he lost his balance and fell in. Seeing his brother in danger, Sukhram jumped in to save him, but tragically, both drowned.
