Tragic Container Accident in Guna Claims Drivers Life

Guna, June 21: A tragic incident occurred in Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, when a container fell off a bridge, resulting in the driver’s death and leaving his companion seriously injured. Local police quickly arrived at the scene, transporting the injured individual to the hospital and initiating an investigation.

According to reports, the accident took place early Sunday morning between 5 and 6 AM on National Highway 46, near the Binaganj bypass in the Chachoda police jurisdiction. A container with a Rajasthan registration, traveling from Shivpuri-Guna towards Bhopal, lost control and crashed through the bridge wall, plummeting down. Upon impact, the container caught fire.

Tragically, the driver, who was asleep inside the container, was burned alive, while the other driver sustained severe injuries. The injured driver has been identified as Manoj Baghel and was taken to the Binaganj Community Health Center for treatment.

Upon receiving news of the incident, SDOP Manoj Jha, Station In-charge Neeraj Rana, officials from National Highway 1033, and the Chachoda municipal fire brigade team rushed to the scene. With the fire brigade’s assistance, the blaze was extinguished. Reports indicate that the container was loaded with transport goods. The police have begun their investigation, and traffic on the highway was temporarily disrupted due to the accident.

Earlier, on Saturday, a tragic road accident in the Ramanujganj municipality area of Balrampur district, Chhattisgarh, claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy. The child was struck by a water tanker dispatched by the municipality, leading to outrage among family members and locals. The victim’s relatives blocked National Highway 343 for nearly three hours in protest.
