
Bhopal, April 19: A tragic incident occurred in Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh when an unidentified speeding vehicle collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of three teenagers.
The accident took place late Sunday night as the minors were returning home from a friend’s wedding. According to police, the victims were identified as Anil (14, from Devdha village), Roshan (17, from Badi Beed), and Sawan (14, from Ratanpura). The collision happened near Chuliya village, under the jurisdiction of Bori police station.
The three boys were riding on the same motorcycle, while their friends followed on another bike. The impact was so severe that two of the teenagers died on the spot, while the third was rushed to a nearby hospital by his friends, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
Police officials reported that a speeding unidentified vehicle struck the boys’ motorcycle and fled the scene without stopping, leaving the victims severely injured. The Bori police have registered a ‘hit-and-run’ case and initiated an investigation to locate the suspect.
Senior officials visited the accident site and expressed condolences to the grieving families. A police officer described the incident as heartbreaking, stating, “We are investigating from all angles to identify the responsible driver. CCTV footage from nearby areas is also being reviewed.”
The deceased had attended a wedding ceremony in Chuliya village. Local residents have urged the district administration to install speed bumps and improve lighting on the road near Chuliya village to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Police have appealed to the public for any information regarding the unidentified vehicle to assist in the investigation.
