Khargpur, April 20: Political activities in West Bengal have intensified as assembly elections approach. The ruling party, TMC, and the BJP are exchanging accusations. In this context, BJP candidate Dilip Ghosh has made sharp remarks regarding Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
In a media interaction, Ghosh stated, “As elections approach, TMC suddenly remembers the rights of workers, women, and youth. They promise jobs during elections but forget afterward. Meanwhile, since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office, the seventh pay commission has been implemented at the center, and employees’ DA is increasing. However, in West Bengal, employees are being exploited.”
Ghosh further added, “People are now openly protesting. The confidence of party members has grown, and the change is evident. On Sunday, Prime Minister Modi held four rallies in Bengal. He is actively campaigning from North Bengal to South Bengal. He is well aware of what is happening. The public and workers are ready for a change in power.”
In response to Mamata Banerjee’s allegations that the ED is acting on the central government’s orders, Ghosh remarked, “The ED has been working for a year. Their investigations are ongoing across the country wherever corruption is rampant. Corruption in Bengal is at its peak, involving many politicians and businessmen. Therefore, their investigation will continue.”
Previously, Ghosh stated, “The Women’s Reservation Bill has exposed many parties that often talk about women’s empowerment and rights. They did not support this bill, making it clear that they are merely politicizing women’s issues.”
He also mentioned, “Mamata Banerjee wants to buy women’s votes by offering them 1500 rupees. She shows no concern for women’s safety. Law and order in West Bengal has collapsed. There is no one to listen to the public’s problems. The people are extremely distressed, which is why they are bringing the BJP this time. The public knows which party can truly foster their development.”
