Mumbai, March 26: The eighth day of Chaitra Navratri is celebrated across the country with immense devotion and reverence. This year, the enthusiasm of devotees was particularly remarkable at the renowned Maa Sharda Devi Temple in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh. Long queues of worshippers formed early Thursday morning, all eager to seek blessings from the goddess.
On this auspicious occasion, special prayers and grand aarti were conducted at the temple. The chief priest, Pawan Dahu Ji Maharaj, performed the aarti with great devotion and offered prasad. Meanwhile, in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, special prayers were also conducted at the famous Maa Bal Sundari Devi Temple during Chaitra Navratri’s Ashtami. The annual Chaiti Mela was grandly organized this year, featuring a magnificent palanquin procession of the goddess. Thousands of devotees participated, filling the streets with the sounds of drums and devotional music, creating a spiritual ambiance throughout the city.
The chief priest, Vikas Kumar Agnihotri, shared that the goddess’s palanquin has returned to its sanctum via traditional routes. After the prayers, a grand aarti was performed, and the doors for devotees were opened. He emphasized the special significance of darshan on Ashtami, noting the tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees.
