Parwal strengthens the digestive system and offers numerous health benefits. Scientifically known as Trichosanthes dioica Roxb, it is rich in fiber, enhancing digestion. Additionally, parwal contains antioxidants and aids in purifying the blood.

Research indicates that parwal is abundant in protein and vitamin A. Its medicinal properties help regulate blood sugar and triglyceride levels.

In Ayurveda and Unani medicine, parwal holds significant importance. Ancient texts like the Charaka Samhita mention the use of parwal’s fruits and leaves for treating various ailments, including jaundice.
