
Mumbai, March 21: Tension has escalated in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, following the tragic death of the renowned cow protector, Sant Chandrashekhar, also known as ‘Farsa Baba,’ in a road accident. The administration is on high alert, and political rhetoric surrounding the incident has intensified. In response, Mathura police have issued a statement on the social media platform X, aiming to quell the spread of rumors.
According to the police, the accident occurred on Saturday morning in the Kosi Kalan area due to dense fog. Sant Chandrashekhar’s unfortunate demise was linked to a collision involving a container truck carrying groceries and another truck transporting wires. Authorities clarified that there is no connection between this incident and cow slaughter or trafficking.
Following the accident, various misleading reports began circulating on social media, falsely associating it with cattle smuggling. This misinformation has contributed to a tense atmosphere in the region. Mathura police emphasized that such claims are entirely false and misleading. They urged the public not to share unverified information on platforms like Facebook, X, or Instagram. Furthermore, they warned that strict legal action would be taken against those spreading rumors.
The police also announced that a case regarding the road accident is being registered at the Kosi Kalan police station, and an investigation is ongoing.
In the midst of these developments, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken note of the incident and directed officials to ensure strict action against those responsible. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to accountability and law enforcement, stating that offenders will not be spared. Stringent measures will also be implemented against anyone undermining law and order.
