Tension in Bengal Elections: Praveen Khandelwal Claims Opposition is Anxious as BJP Gains Momentum

New Delhi, April 10: BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal asserted on Friday that there is a palpable sense of anxiety among various parties, including the Trinamool Congress, as voters appear ready to bring the BJP to power in West Bengal. Khandelwal also responded to the alleged sting video involving Humayun Kabir and the breaking of the alliance with AIMIM.

Commenting on the dissolution of the alliance between AIMIM, led by Owaisi, and Kabir’s party, JUP, Khandelwal noted that the opposition parties are in disarray. He remarked on the irony of their shifting alliances, stating, “They are preoccupied with when to break ties and when to form new ones.”

Khandelwal emphasized, “The real issue is that the opposition parties, regardless of their affiliations, are in a state of panic. This anxiety stems from the fact that the people of West Bengal have decided to form a government with a significant majority under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP is set to form the government in West Bengal.”

He further stated, “The truth is that no one has ever paid attention to the fundamental problems faced by the people in Bengal. The BJP has gained the trust of the people of Bengal through the efforts of its workers under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.”

Additionally, the BJP MP commented on the recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon, describing the international situation as concerning. However, he asserted that under PM Modi’s leadership, India’s current standing is strong, and the country is viewed with respect on the global stage.

Khandelwal also reacted to Shashi Tharoor’s article, stating, “Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India has established itself in a complex geopolitical landscape, and our role in resolving issues has been widely appreciated. This is precisely what Shashi Tharoor highlighted in his article.”

He expressed his views on the high voter turnout in Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry, stating that increased voting strengthens democracy. The voting percentages from these three states clearly indicate that the public is comfortable exercising their democratic rights.
