Telugu Actor Manchu Manoj Responds to Attack on Schoolgirls in Rapthadu

Actor Manchu Manoj expresses deep concern for schoolgirls attacked in Rapthadu, emphasizing the need for societal change.

Rapthadu, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Telugu actor Manchu Manoj has publicly reacted to the recent attack on two schoolgirls in Rapthadu, expressing that the incident deeply affected him as a father. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, he conveyed his prayers for the swift recovery of the girls and strength for their families.

Manchu Manoj praised the bravery of a young girl who intervened to save her friend, stating she deserves immense respect and recognition. He expressed gratitude towards the doctors providing critical care, as well as the Andhra Pradesh government, police, and medical teams involved in the response.

He noted the positive step of deploying 20 mental health counselors for the affected students, urging that continuous support be extended to all impacted children, teachers, and families.

In his post, Manoj highlighted a broader societal issue, stating, “This is not just about one person or one crime. When women are objectified and disrespected, whether in daily life, for amusement, or within homes and society, it breeds dangerous mindsets.” He emphasized that objectification is harmful and called for accountability for harassment and violence, advocating for a strong stance against everyday disrespect.

Concluding his message, he remarked, “Respect for women begins at home. Our children are watching. The society we aspire to create starts with how we treat women within our homes and communities. Let us all work together to build a safe society.”

Authorities have reported that the attack resulted in severe injuries to the students, including wounds to the face, head, and neck, with one girl’s right arm nearly severed. The other girl, who bravely intervened, was also seriously injured. Both victims are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital.
