BJP MP Criticizes Congress, Calls Rahul Gandhi an Unsuccessful Leader
BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal condemns Congress and Rahul Gandhi, citing economic losses during protests in Delhi.

New Delhi, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : BJP Member of Parliament Praveen Khandelwal has sharply criticized the Congress party, labeling its recent rally in Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan as a symbol of the opposition’s despair and confusion. He accused Rahul Gandhi of fostering chaos and claimed that Congress’s protests have resulted in significant economic losses for Delhi during the festive season, amounting to ₹550 crore for local businesses and ₹700 crore in government revenue.
Khandelwal stated, “They are trying to chase a dream that will never materialize. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won three consecutive Lok Sabha elections, and wherever assembly elections are held, the BJP has recorded unprecedented victories. This is the people’s mandate. If the public is rejecting Congress and declaring Rahul Gandhi an unsuccessful leader, then the blame lies solely with them.”
He emphasized that leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi are merely expressing their frustration and confusion through baseless statements, ignoring the fact that elections ultimately determine the will of the people.
Regarding the rally, Khandelwal condemned Gandhi’s attempts to create disorder across the nation. He noted that there is widespread anger among traders in Delhi towards both Gandhi and Congress. Recent protests have inflicted over ₹550 crore in damages to businesses during the festival season, while the government has lost approximately ₹700 crore in revenue.
The MP mentioned that Delhi’s traders are planning a meeting after Diwali to discuss how to respond to those parties that have harmed the local economy.
In a related note, the Confederation of All India Traders has urged Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor, Sardar Tarnjit Singh Sandhu, to designate specific areas outside the city for protests and demonstrations to prevent disruptions to business and daily life.
Khandelwal also commented on former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s controversial remarks, suggesting that she has historically favored a particular group during her tenure. He drew parallels with the actions of Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi.
Notably, during the India Block rally, Sonia Gandhi did not receive an opportunity to speak, a situation Khandelwal described as indicative of Congress’s current standing. He asserted that Congress is a sinking ship, with its members feeling helpless. He criticized the ingrained sycophancy within the party, citing leaders like Imran Masood, Salman Khurshid, and Jairam Ramesh. Khandelwal concluded by predicting that Congress may soon vanish from the Indian political landscape.
