Tejashwi Yadav Calls for United Opposition Amid Sonia Gandhis Meeting with Lalu Prasad Yadav

Tejashwi Yadav emphasizes the need for a united opposition during a meeting between Sonia Gandhi and Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna.

Patna, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Tejashwi Yadav, the national executive president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), stated on November 2 that opposition parties across the country must unite to face challenges effectively. He emphasized that without solidarity among opposition parties, victory in their struggles remains elusive. Yadav’s remarks came after a meeting in Delhi between Sonia Gandhi, a senior Congress leader, and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.

During the meeting, which took place at the residence of Lalu Prasad’s daughter, Meesa Bharti, Yadav was also present. He informed the media that Lalu was in Delhi for routine health check-ups. Following their meeting, Sonia Gandhi expressed her concern for Lalu’s health and made a point to visit him.

Tejashwi Yadav highlighted the longstanding good relations between Lalu and Sonia, noting that both have supported each other through difficult times. Their families share a deep-rooted connection, making this meeting significant after a long interval.

Addressing the strength of the opposition alliance, Yadav stressed the importance of unity not just in Bihar but across the nation. He declared that the opposition’s struggle would persist until action is taken against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

In response to claims that a rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan was poorly attended, Tejashwi asserted that such assertions reflect the anxiety of their opponents, who are feeling the pressure of being exposed. He accused those in power of undermining democracy for their benefit.

On the topic of independent members of the Bihar Legislative Council joining the BJP, he remarked that such individuals should lose their membership if they align with a political party. A written complaint regarding this issue has already been submitted, and Manoj Jha has held a press conference on the matter.

Tejashwi expressed anticipation regarding the actions of the new chairperson of the council, warning that failure to adhere to regulations would render the council’s rules meaningless.
