Jharkhand High Court to Inaugurate ₹35 Crore Data Center

The Jharkhand High Court will launch a new data center to enhance judicial efficiency and security, inaugurated by Chief Justice Surya Kant.

Ranchi, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : A significant advancement in modernizing the judicial system in Jharkhand is set to take place with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art data center at the Jharkhand High Court. The center, which has been developed at a cost of approximately ₹35 crore, will be inaugurated by Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, on Monday at 7:30 PM.

Alongside the data center, the High Court will also launch a new website and mobile application, along with six digital services aimed at streamlining judicial processes. These innovations are expected to enhance the speed, security, and transparency of judicial operations. The data center is equipped with high-capacity GPU servers, advanced network security systems, uninterrupted power supply, centralized storage, and backup facilities.

This facility will facilitate the secure and efficient management of information related to cases, electronic judicial records, and video conferencing services. It will play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive court documents in digital form. Additionally, a feature enabling judicial officers to dictate orders and judgments will be introduced, utilizing Dragon Speech Recognition software. This software will allow judges and other officials to prepare necessary documents verbally, even without an internet connection, saving time on typing and maintaining the confidentiality of documents.

Judicial officers will also have access to the Supreme Today AI software, which will assist in quickly locating previous court rulings, legal precedents, and essential references, thereby aiding legal research and drafting of decisions. Digital services will also be extended to the public and litigants. Citizens will be able to apply online for certified copies of orders, judgments, and other documents from civil courts in the state, reducing the need for repeated visits to the courts.

Through the new website and mobile app, litigants can track the status of their cases, daily orders, and hearing schedules. Lawyers will benefit from a personalized hearing list, allowing them to retrieve case information based on their name or registration number, and securely keep track of important dates on their mobile devices.

The inauguration ceremony will be attended by Chief Justice Surya Kant, along with Supreme Court Justices S. Chandrashekhar, Apreesh Kumar Singh, and Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice M. S. Sonak, among other senior judges.
