Telangana Minister Dismisses BJPs Aspirations in the State

Hyderabad, May 4: Telangana’s Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated on Monday that there is no possibility for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state, dismissing the party leaders’ dreams of gaining power there.

The Congress leader emphasized that the people of Telangana would not trust those who speak derogatorily about the formation and division of the state.

In response to the BJP’s ambitions following its takeover in West Bengal, Prabhakar told reporters that they are merely dreaming.

He further claimed that as long as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Constitution remains in place, the BJP’s dream of a Congress-free India will never materialize.

Prabhakar expressed confidence that the Congress party, which has been the foundation of democracy, will return to power in the country. He criticized the BJP for believing that it can perpetuate politics in the name of religion under the guise of division, asserting that democracy will ultimately prevail.

He congratulated prominent Congress leaders V.D. Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and K.C. Venugopal for their impressive victory in Kerala. He noted that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the Congress party achieved significant success in Kerala. The party is closely monitoring results from other states.

Prabhakar reiterated that the Congress party has never taken shortcuts to power. Whether in victory or defeat, they stand with the people in a democratic framework. He believes that the electorate will bring the Congress party back to power to safeguard democracy.

Industry and Information Technology Minister D. Sridhar Babu remarked that the results of the state elections have sent a clear message to Indian politics.

He stated that the Congress party, whether in power or not, has always stood for constitutional values. The impressive performance in Kerala reflects this commitment. The success of the Congress-led UDF coalition demonstrates the public’s trust in democracy and their rejection of divisive politics. He commended the dedication of Congress workers and thanked every voter who placed their trust in them.

Sridhar Babu expressed confidence that under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the Congress will return to power in Telangana for a second term.

He added that they are committed to fulfilling all their promises in a phased and transparent manner. Looking ahead, the Congress-led coalition is moving forward with strong momentum toward the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
