Muzaffarpur, March 25: Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly and national executive president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), visited Muzaffarpur on Wednesday. He launched a strong attack on the state government regarding law and order. Yadav stated that the police in Bihar have completely failed, and the government’s credibility has diminished.
In a conversation with the media, Yadav pointed out the rising crime rates in Bihar. He emphasized that the police are supposed to take action against criminals. However, in a recent incident in Chorniya village of Gaighat, an innocent person was murdered, with allegations directed at the local police station chief.
He further claimed that reports suggest the station chief shot the innocent victim while under the influence of alcohol. Yadav asserted that the government has lost control over the police, leading to a period of lawlessness in Bihar. Gunfire is reported daily, with criminals executing their plans at will.
Yadav noted that no action has been taken in the murder case in Gaighat so far. He expressed intentions to meet with the victim’s family and demanded that the administration take action against the guilty officer and ensure justice is served. Regarding the ongoing shortage of cooking gas in the country, he warned that further troubles are on the horizon, with expected increases in the prices of petrol and diesel. He stressed that the government’s foreign policy has been a complete failure, indicating that the administration is disconnected from the public’s needs.
He concluded by stating that since the NDA government took power, the foreign policy has been in disarray, with the government focusing on private policies that do not benefit the public.
