Mumbai: Director Abhinav Sinha and actress Taapsee Pannu are teaming up once again to present a new story after their acclaimed films ‘Mulk’ and ‘Thappad’. On Friday, Taapsee shared the motion poster of their upcoming film ‘Assi’ on Instagram, along with the official release date.
Following Taapsee’s powerful performances in ‘Mulk’ and ‘Thappad’, fans are eagerly awaiting her return to the big screen. In ‘Assi’, she will be seen portraying the role of a lawyer.
The motion poster shared by Taapsee is intense and impactful. It depicts a girl running swiftly on railway tracks, pursued by several people trying to catch her. Then Taapsee makes an entry with blood splatters on her face, dressed in a lawyer’s uniform. The poster carries the tagline, “Us raat wo ghar nahi pahunchee” (She did not reach home that night), hinting at the film’s mysterious and gripping storyline.
The tagline suggests that ‘Assi’ will be a courtroom thriller addressing the fight for justice and tackling serious social issues.
