Suvendu Adhikari Claims Mamata Banerjee Will Lose by 25,000 Votes in Bhawanipur

Kolkata, March 19: The West Bengal Assembly elections have been announced. Political parties, including TMC, BJP, and Congress, are gearing up for the two-phase voting. The BJP has declared Suvendu Adhikari as its candidate for the high-profile Bhawanipur constituency, where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also contesting.

On Thursday, Suvendu Adhikari visited the Bhawanipur area, receiving a warm welcome from the locals. He appeared pleased with the public’s overwhelming support during his first visit since being declared the candidate.

In a media interaction, Adhikari stated, “Today marks the beginning. Mamata’s defeat is certain. In the coming days, the voting momentum will be like a tsunami. Mamata Banerjee will lose by 25,000 to 30,000 votes.”

He added that not only Bhawanipur but all of Bengal is turning towards the BJP. “There is a wave of PM Modi’s policies. The tide of change for the BJP is visible everywhere,” he remarked.

The BJP has nominated Adhikari for two seats: Nandigram and Bhawanipur. In the 2021 Assembly elections, he won the Nandigram seat, defeating TMC’s Mamata Banerjee.

Discussions about the Bhawanipur seat are intensifying across Bengal. While Adhikari expresses confidence in victory, CM Mamata Banerjee claims she will easily win not just Bhawanipur but other seats as well.

Amidst all this, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari extended greetings for the Hindu New Year. He emphasized that the Hindu New Year is a significant symbol of Indian Sanatan tradition and culture. “On the auspicious occasion of Vikram Samvat 2083, I wish everyone heartfelt greetings. This special day marks the auspicious beginning of the new year and symbolizes the restoration of dharma and values. The Hindu New Year strengthens our cultural consciousness and national identity. Let us celebrate this day with new resolutions,” he concluded.
