Swami Avimukteshwaranands Journey for Cow Protection in Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar, June 22: During the Cow Protection Journey, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj emphasized that this initiative aims to demand legal protection for cows. He expressed disappointment with political parties, stating that despite receiving votes, leaders have failed to enact solid laws for cow protection.

In a conversation with reporters, Swami Maharaj stated, “This journey is focused on advocating for a law to protect ‘Gau Mata’ (Mother Cow). We are disheartened by our leaders and political parties, as they have not managed to create any laws for cow protection despite securing our votes. Motivated by this sentiment, we are reaching out to voters across Uttar Pradesh.”

He clarified that this campaign is not against any specific political party but is driven by a commitment to cow protection. He noted, “The Samajwadi Party is not officially supporting this journey, but Hindu members associated with the party and devotees of Gau Mata are participating based on their faith and values.”

Swami Avimukteshwaranand further stated, “We have urged Hindus from all political parties to join this journey if they hold reverence for Gau Mata. Those participating are doing so out of their devotion to her. This is not linked to any political party.”

Throughout the journey, Swami Maharaj is visiting various districts in the state to engage with the public. He emphasized that cow protection is not just a religious issue but also holds cultural, environmental, and economic significance. He appealed to the Hindu community to unite in safeguarding Gau Mata while strengthening their faith.

Regarding the controversy over donations for the Ayodhya Ram Temple, he remarked, “The theft in Ayodhya is not a new occurrence; it has been happening alongside the temple’s construction. Champat Rai mentioned that there is nothing unusual about this. It indicates that such incidents are commonplace for them.”
