Major Changes to Ayodhyas Ram Lalla Viewing System Enhance Accessibility for Devotees
The Ram Janmabhoomi Trust has expanded the viewing pass system, allowing devotees to plan visits up to 90 days in advance.

Ayodhya, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced significant improvements to the viewing pass system for Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. Devotees will now be able to plan their visits up to 90 days in advance, a considerable increase from the previous 15-day notice. Additionally, the number of online viewing passes available to general devotees has been raised from 975 to 2,000.
Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, the Trust’s General Secretary, emphasized that these changes aim to enhance convenience for devotees. Following discussions with CEO Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra (Retd.), IT department representatives, and Trust officials, he has directed the implementation of these new arrangements.
The Trust has immediately increased the availability of online passes. They will continuously monitor demand and booking trends, with the potential to increase pass numbers further if necessary. This initiative is designed to allow devotees to obtain passes directly online without the need for recommendations or intermediaries.
Under the new system, viewing passes will be available for various timeframes, including 90, 62, 30, 14, 7, 3, and 1 day prior to the visit. On the day of the visit, immediate passes will also be issued, creating a total of eight phases for pass distribution.
The Trust believes that this phased approach will give devotees the flexibility to book their visits according to their convenience. This is especially beneficial for those traveling from distant areas, allowing them to plan their trips by securing train tickets, accommodation, and other necessary arrangements in advance. Those who make last-minute travel plans will also have the opportunity to obtain passes.
To combat misuse of automated booking systems and ensure fair access for genuine devotees, the Trust is developing a new verification-based system for online bookings. Pass confirmations will not occur immediately after application submission; instead, notifications will be sent within 24 to 48 hours following necessary technical verifications. The Trust clarified that merely submitting an application does not guarantee pass confirmation.
This new system is expected to help identify and investigate unusual or suspicious booking activities. However, passes issued on the day of the visit will be confirmed immediately, bypassing the 24 to 48-hour waiting period.
Importantly, the Trust reiterated that viewing passes are entirely free of charge. No fees should be paid to obtain a pass. If any individual requests money in exchange for a pass, devotees are encouraged to report this directly to the Trust. A facility for filing complaints is being developed and will be operational within a week. The Trust will investigate all complaints and take appropriate action.
Devotees are urged to use only the official website for obtaining viewing passes and to avoid paying anyone or any intermediary for assistance.
The Trust has also begun enhancing the online booking system to make it more secure, aiming to prevent unauthorized bookings, technical abuses, and other irregularities. The decision to increase the number of online passes is already in effect. The phased pass distribution, new verification system, and other technical improvements will be implemented progressively after necessary software updates and testing.
Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj has instructed that the convenience, transparency, and service ethos for devotees be prioritized in the viewing arrangements. The Trust’s initiative seeks to provide every devotee with a simple, safe, and convenient way to experience the darshan of Ram Lalla.
