Mumbai: Netflix’s upcoming drama film ‘Ikka’ is set to release soon on the streaming platform. The film is notable as Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna will be seen together on screen after 29 years.
Along with Sunny and Akshaye, the cast includes Dia Mirza, Tilottama Shome, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and others. Recently, during a Netflix event, actress Tilottama Shome shared a memorable incident from the shoot involving Sunny Deol. She said, “Most of my scenes were with Sunny Deol. During one shoot, when Sunny’s close-up had finished and my close-up was ongoing, two flies were hovering near Sunny’s eyes. One flew away, but the other settled on the waterline of his eye. Despite this, Sunny did not call for a cut. I was trying to finish my dialogue quickly because the fly was crawling, and I was quite uncomfortable.”
After the shot ended, she asked Sunny why he did not say cut. Sunny replied, “I did not want to spoil my take.”
Tilottama added that even after so many years, Sunny Deol remains generous and professional. Usually, people would ask for a cut in such discomfort, but he chose not to. For her, this was a very emotional moment.
The film ‘Ikka’ is a courtroom thriller. The story revolves around an honest and renowned lawyer who is forced to defend a murder accused. This accused is the same person whose career the lawyer had previously ruined. To win the case, the lawyer has to adopt all means — right or wrong — as losing would cost him everything. Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, the film will soon be available for streaming on Netflix.
