Mumbai, June 23: Comedian Sunil Pal has once again captured public attention with a recent social media post. Many are interpreting this post as a jab at actress Alia Bhatt, igniting a fresh debate in the entertainment industry. The incident is linked to comedian Samay Raina’s show “India’s Got Latent,” where Alia Bhatt and actress Sharvari Wagh appeared to promote their upcoming film “Alpha.”
The controversy began when Samay Raina referenced an old viral comment during the new season of the show. He humorously asked a contestant which toothpaste she uses, jokingly suggesting that the same toothpaste should be given to Sunil Pal. This line elicited laughter from those present on set.
Alia Bhatt, who was also part of the episode, was seen laughing at the remark. Later, she mentioned that she had previously watched an episode featuring Samay Raina and Sunil Pal together on “The Great Indian Kapil Show.”
In response, Sunil Pal took to his official Facebook page to share a post in Hindi, stating, “Where there are abuses, there is Alia.” Many are interpreting this post as a direct insult towards Alia Bhatt. However, he did not clarify the context of his statement.
This controversy is not new, as tensions between Sunil Pal and Samay Raina have been brewing for some time. Last year, Sunil criticized the language and content used in the first season of Samay Raina’s show “India’s Got Latent,” claiming that it often featured vulgar and objectionable language, which he deemed inappropriate.
