Chandigarh, June 29: BJP leader Sunil Jakhar has responded to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s statement regarding Aam Aadmi Party ministers and legislators respectfully accepting the decisions of the Akal Takht.
In an interview with a news agency, Jakhar stated that he had posted on social media platform ‘X’, asserting that the drama being staged by Bhagwant Mann is a serious crime and a grave sin. He emphasized that while they may be members of the parliament, they do not endorse Mann’s actions.
Jakhar further remarked that if there were any truth to Mann’s claims, he should present evidence before the Akal Takht. He suggested that Mann should have brought proof to demonstrate his innocence, especially since the Akal Takht has previously verified videos.
He accused Mann of disrespecting the Akal Takht and making a mockery of it. Jakhar alleged that Mann fabricated false survey reports and conducted press conferences with his ministers, only to later send his legislators with a detailed script of what to say.
According to Jakhar, Mann has committed sin upon sin, and if he were to seek forgiveness from the Guru, it would be a matter of consideration. He believes that Mann’s arrogance has led to continuous wrongdoing.
Jakhar concluded by stating that Mann’s time has come, and his arrogance will soon be shattered. He warned that the new MLAs who participated in these misdeeds will also face consequences.
