Sukhadia University Achieves Milestone with Launch of Job-Oriented Courses for Youth

Udaipur, 28 August (Kiran News): Mohanlal Sukhadia University has taken a significant step towards youth empowerment by introducing job-oriented courses in line with the New Education Policy (NEP). Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunita Mishra, the university’s College of Commerce and Management Studies has started Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programs (AEDP) aimed at connecting students with practical industry experience.

New Courses for Industry Readiness

These newly introduced courses include B.Com. in Retail Operations Management, B.Com. in Logistics Management, B.Com. in Banking, Financial Services & Insurance, and BBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management. All these programs are NEP-compliant and recognised, ensuring that students gain both academic knowledge and hands-on training while studying.

The initiative allows students to engage with industry sectors at the undergraduate level, greatly improving their chances of securing better employment opportunities upon graduation.

Vice Chancellor’s Vision for Youth Empowerment

Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunita Mishra has been instrumental in launching these courses across all affiliated colleges of Sukhadia University, offering young people new avenues for career growth. At the official inauguration of the admission process, Prof. Mishra appealed to students to take advantage of these courses, stressing that the aim is not only to impart theoretical knowledge but also to provide practical experience for shaping future careers.

Through these industry-focused courses, students can build successful careers in key sectors like retail, logistics, banking, tourism and hospitality, and insurance.

Students to Receive Stipend

Prof. Mishra also shared that at the end of the program, students will get the opportunity for apprenticeships with leading companies, giving them industry exposure and practical skills. During their training period, students will also receive a stipend from companies, which will support them financially while they study.

Step Towards Self-Reliance

Prof. B.L. Verma, Dean and Nodal Officer of AEDP, said that these courses are NEP-based and will help students secure good jobs in various companies upon completion. He added that the programs will contribute to the vision of a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) and will mark a milestone in the university’s history.
