Successful Landing of Chinas Shenzhou-22 Manned Spacecraft

Beijing, May 30: China’s Shenzhou-22 manned spacecraft successfully landed at the Tungfang landing site at 8:11 PM Beijing time on May 29. The spacecraft carried astronauts from Shenzhou-21.

Medical teams on-site confirmed that astronauts Qiang Lu, Wu Fei, and Qiang Hongqiang are in good health, marking the landing operation as a complete success.

At 7:20 PM, the Beijing Space Command Center issued the return command. The spacecraft’s service module and return module separated from each other. Following this, the return engine was ignited, allowing the return module to detach from the propulsion module and begin its descent.

According to the Chinese Manned Space Engineering Office, the Shenzhou-21 astronauts entered the Chinese space station on November 1, 2025. They spent a total of 210 days in space, setting a new record. During their stay at the space station, they conducted three extravehicular activities and completed numerous space science experiments in collaboration with ground researchers.
