Subhash Ghai Celebrates Iconic Patriotic Song Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge

Mumbai, August 10: The Hindi film industry has produced numerous patriotic songs that resonate deeply with audiences. One such song, “Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge, Ae Watan Tere Liye,” continues to be sung at Independence and Republic Day events. Director and producer Subhash Ghai expressed his pride and joy on Monday regarding the song’s enduring legacy.

This iconic track was featured in the film Karma. Ghai shared the film’s poster on his official Instagram account, revealing his heartfelt sentiments. He expressed pride that the song was also released in Sanskrit.

He wrote, “When the music album of our film Karma was released, it featured signatures from all the stars, along with Laxmikant-Pyarelal and Anand Bakshi. This was in 1986. The national iconic song ‘Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge, Ae Watan Tere Liye’ is still sung at every national event in India.”

Ghai added, “Now Mukta Arts is proud to have released this song in Sanskrit. It was sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy, and it has received a warm reception on YouTube. Thank you to everyone for enjoying this iconic song.”

The famous patriotic song, released in 1986, was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, with lyrics by Anand Bakshi, and performed by Mohammad Aziz and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The Sanskrit version of “Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge, Ae Watan Tere Liye” was launched in August 2023. Director Subhash Ghai had this timeless song adapted into Sanskrit, with the original singer Kavita Krishnamurthy lending her voice once again.
