Mumbai, July 18: The Shivnarayanpur Railway Station in Bhagalpur district, Bihar, was inaugurated on Friday under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.’ This opening is seen as a significant step towards modernizing railway infrastructure in the region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually dedicated this newly developed station along with 74 other revamped railway stations across the country.
The newly designed Shivnarayanpur Railway Station offers modern amenities for passengers. These include a newly designed station building, improved waiting halls, better lighting, enhanced cleanliness, and upgraded infrastructure to ensure a more comfortable travel experience.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by railway officials, local representatives, and community members. Railway officials stated that the goal of the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ is to transform railway stations into modern, safe, and passenger-friendly transit hubs. This initiative also aims to enhance connectivity and support regional development.
Officials noted that the redevelopment of Shivnarayanpur Railway Station will not only improve travel facilities for passengers but will also contribute to the socio-economic development of the surrounding areas.
Local school students expressed great enthusiasm about the event, with many sharing their happiness about the station’s transformation. In conversations, several students mentioned their joy at seeing a modern railway station in their area and thanked the Prime Minister for this development initiative.
One student remarked that this represents a significant step in connecting their region with various cities across the country. Another student said, “We are very happy to have such a modern railway station. It is a great gift for our area.”
Another student added that the improved facilities at the station will make travel easier for local residents. “Now, people from our area can travel comfortably to various places across the country from this modern station,” the student noted.
The redevelopment of Shivnarayanpur Railway Station is part of the central government’s larger initiative to enhance railway infrastructure and improve passenger convenience through the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.’
