India hosted the two-day 10th edition of the ‘Indian Ocean Dialogue’ in New Delhi, where representatives from countries linked to the Indian Ocean discussed key issues such as security, trade, blue economy, and regional cooperation.
This dialogue was organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) and the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Secretariat. Senior officials, policymakers, scholars, and experts from IORA member countries and dialogue partner nations participated, discussing critical issues and new challenges related to the Indian Ocean region.
The Indian Ocean Dialogue (IOD) serves as a prominent Track 1.5 platform for open and constructive discussions on shared strategic issues, including maritime security, blue economy, trade and investment, and sustainable development.
