Beijing, April 21: A special program titled “Invest in China” was held on April 20 during Hannover Messe 2026 in Germany. Representatives from China and Germany exchanged ideas on advanced manufacturing, industrial artificial intelligence, and regional cooperation.
All participants agreed on the necessity of deepening practical cooperation between the two countries, especially in light of the significant changes in the current global industrial landscape. They emphasized that “investing in China is investing in the future.”
Yu Kuangshang, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Department of China’s Ministry of Commerce, stated that China aims to actively present its new progress in openness and emerging opportunities to the outside world.
He added that China is committed to continuously deepening industrial cooperation and promoting the upgrading of the manufacturing sector. Furthermore, China is prepared to expand bilateral investment, facilitate the flow of innovative resources, and develop more practical and efficient cooperation networks.
Wang Hao, an advisor at the Chinese Consulate in Hamburg, noted that Hannover Messe serves as a crucial platform for global industrial technology exchange and economic cooperation. He highlighted that the “Invest in China” theme has been a major attraction of the fair for many years and has become a significant symbol of China-Germany economic and trade cooperation.
Daniel Brandt, an executive from Germany’s Innok Robotics, mentioned that China has included the acceleration of human-like robots and other products in its “15th Five-Year Plan” (2026-2030). This has instilled considerable optimism regarding the development prospects of China’s artificial intelligence industry.
It is noteworthy that Hannover Messe, established in 1947, is one of the world’s most influential industrial technology trade fairs. This year’s event is taking place from April 20 to 24, featuring nearly 2,900 exhibitors from over 50 countries and regions, including approximately 700 exhibitors from China.
