Special Arrangements for Chaitra Navratri at Kalka Ji Temple

New Delhi, March 18: Chaitra Navratri begins on Thursday, March 19. Special arrangements have been made for devotees at the renowned Kalka Ji Temple in Delhi. Siddharth Bhardwaj, the temple’s secretary, announced that three main entry points and four exit points have been established to facilitate crowd management and enhance the experience for visitors.

During Navratri, a significant number of devotees visit the temple to seek blessings from the goddess. This year, the temple administration has taken extensive measures to ensure safety and orderly conduct.

The main entry points will be from the Lotus Temple side, Ram Pyau, and Modi Mill (Okhla side). Additionally, a separate VIP entry has been created from the Ram Pyau parking area to ensure a smooth experience for VIP visitors. The four exit points include Ram Pyau, Lotus Temple, Okhla side, and Mahant Complex (Swaminath Mahant Gate).

Bhardwaj explained that devotees will enter and exit from the same points, reducing crowd pressure and maintaining order. Comprehensive security measures have been implemented, with over 300 CCTV cameras installed throughout the temple complex. Surveillance is active at every entry, exit, and critical location, supported by a dedicated monitoring room.

Delhi Police, paramilitary forces, and 400 to 500 volunteers will be on site. Each point will have 3-4 personnel to guide devotees in an orderly manner.

“Our system allows us to send groups of 50 people at a time. Once the first group safely reaches the temple, we will send in the next group. This will help maintain control and ensure a smooth experience for everyone,” Bhardwaj stated. Police officers will be present at all entry, exit, and checking points, while volunteers will assist in crowd management.
