Lucknow, March 29: Amid rising political tensions due to the Middle East crisis, SP legislator Ravidas Mehrotra has made serious allegations against the central government. In a recent conversation, he stated, “There is no atmosphere for a lockdown in the country, nor is there any crisis that warrants one. However, the central government is attempting to impose a lockdown to increase petrol and gas prices. The BJP government is spreading rumors about a potential lockdown, which is causing continuous inflation. There should be no lockdown in the country.”
Mehrotra further criticized the situation in Uttar Pradesh, claiming, “For the past nine years, there has been rampant looting in the state. Development funds are being misappropriated. Budget money is not being spent on the ground. The Chief Minister claims that roads will be made pothole-free, but no roads have been repaired. There is ongoing corruption in development funds, and officials refuse to work without bribes. The entire state is in chaos, and the state government is falsely accusing the SP to cover up this looting.”
He added, “Currently, there is a reign of goons and mafia in the state. If the state government has the courage, it should release a list of the top 20 criminals, who are often affiliated with the BJP. Nitish Kumar was the Chief Minister of Bihar and is being sent to the Rajya Sabha. He is set to resign on March 30, after which the BJP will appoint one of its favorites as the Chief Minister of Bihar.”
Mehrotra also commented on the ongoing budget session in the Lok Sabha, stating, “During this session, it was reported that contact was made with 29 opposition parties and 375 MPs. It is every citizen’s right to reach out to their elected representatives and ask questions. The Parliament is a platform for voicing national issues.”
He concluded by discussing the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, asserting, “Mamata Banerjee is set to become Chief Minister for the fourth time. No matter what the BJP does or how many false accusations they make, the TMC government will prevail. If there has been infiltration in the state, the central government is responsible for it. Due to lapses in central security, infiltrators have entered. The BJP aims to destroy West Bengal, which is why they are making false claims. This struggle will not remain confined to West Bengal; there will be a nationwide movement against the BJP.”
