Mumbai, August 23: In today’s world, social media has become an integral part of our lives, altering how we perceive relationships, love, and emotions. Often, we see someone’s picture on Instagram and assume their life is perfect. Similarly, we connect their written thoughts to our own experiences. However, TV actor Jan Khan believes this mindset is misguided.
He emphasizes that not everything visible on social media is true, and linking those portrayals to our lives is unwise.
When asked if online relationships and emotions influenced the storyline of his show, Jan responded, “’Dil Se Diwangi Tak’ is a fictional narrative and should not be viewed as real life. The world of relationships formed on social media is different and cannot be compared to real-life connections.”
Jan pointed out that many aspects of life now depend on Instagram. People spend significant time there, consuming various thoughts, advice, and relationship-related content. The issue arises when individuals apply these ideas to their lives without critical thought.
He noted, “Often, individuals who write extensively about relationships may not have faced those situations themselves. Some do it merely to gain visibility, discussion, or increase views. Others start to relate these ideas to their own lives.”
The actor further stated, “We all face challenges in life, but I do not connect myself to Instagram, the thoughts posted there, or the so-called lessons. Everything is very temporary. What becomes popular for a few minutes or hours on social media may not necessarily be beneficial for our lives in the long run.”
Discussing his show ‘Dil Se Diwangi Tak,’ Jan shared that the most intriguing aspect of the story is its love triangle. The narrative revolves around the relationships between Abir, Siya, and Jahan, with Jan portraying Jahan. He described Jahan as a complex character who is not easy to understand, making it challenging to predict his next move.
Jan remarked, “I have never played a character like Jahan before, which makes it special for me. As an actor, I enjoy roles that allow me to explore new dimensions and test my acting skills. Jahan’s unique personality presents such a challenge.”
